LASER HAIR REMOVAL
Laser hair removal is a medical procedure that uses a concentrated beam of light (laser) to remove unwanted hair.
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
LASER FACIAL/SKIN RESURFACING
Laser resurfacing can help to reduce acne scars, fine lines, wrinkles and pigment/sun damage resulting in an even smoother complexion. During laser resurfacing, a wand-like device is used to deliver beams of light that remove sun damaged skin layer by layer. New skin is then able to grow in its place. Laser resurfacing on the face can take anywhere from 30 minutes to two hours depending on how many sunspots are being treated. Healing typically takes anywhere from 10 to 21 days.
LASER VEIN THERAPY
What is Laser Vein Therapy?
Laser technology offers a very effective means of treating vascular lesions. The laser has a unique ability to selectively target blood vessels without adversely affecting surrounding tissues. Laser light is specifically absorbed by the hemoglobin in the veins. The vessels are gently heated, causing the vessels to collapse. The body reabsorbs the treated blood vessels during the natural healing process.
What types of veins can be treated?
Lasers can be used to treat a wide variety of veins, from small, superficial, pink and red vessels on the face to the large, deep, purple and blue veins on the legs.
How many treatments will I need?
Depending upon the severity of the veins, you may require between 1 and 3 laser treatments, spaced 6 weeks apart. The treatment is performed on the existing blood vessels, diminishing or completely eliminating their appearance.
LASER ROSECEA TREATMENT
Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes the blood vessels in your face to become visible and your face to appear red or flushed. This treatment targets visible blood vessels. It’s also used to correct excess tissue that can make the nose appear bulbous, a symptom of phymatous (type 3) rosacea.
LASER SUN/SPOTS TREATMENT
High-energy pulsing lasers can safely and effectively remove many unwanted brown and red spots on your skin, including liver spots, age spots, sun spots, broken capillaries, birthmarks, and angiomas (red spots). Once the lasers do their job, you can have a more even skin tone.
